Classes are 3 hours and 15 minutes long (8:45am-12pm) and will consist of a half hour on the beach for ocean education and stand up techniques. The remaining two and a half hours will be spent in the water surfing and having fun.
There will be one instructor for every three campers. We separate campers into groups according to age and ability. Your child will be with the same instructor and group the entire week.
Snacks and drinks will be provided but you are welcome to bring extra goodies. Also, we encourage you to bring a towel, sunblock, and anything else you might need. Most importantly, bring your smile and get ready to have some fun!
Every Friday we will have a special lunch for our campers to reward them for all their hard work and to celebrate new friendships.
Location
The camp will be held everyday Monday thru Friday at 20th Ave. North Jacksonville Beach, which is also Seagate Ave. depending on which direction you will be coming from. Another landmark to look for is Fletcher Middle School- we are across the street! If you need directions just give us a call.
Two new locations have been added this year, Micklers Landing in Ponte Vedra and St. Augustine Beach. Check the website later for more details or give us a call.
Time
Each day, camp will begin at 8:45 a.m sharp and will last until 12 noon. Its a good idea to arrive at 8:30 to do some streching and
to ensure a proper starting time.
Cost
The cost of Surf Camp 2006 for the entire week is $195.00. This price includes the use of a surfboard from 8;45am until 12 noon. If you would like to use the surfboard after camp hours a deposit will be required and the surfboard is your responsibility.
